Washington Football Team 16-game prediction for the 2020 season
Games 13-16
December 13 – Week Fourteen: Washington at 49ers
Site: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA
Time: 4:25pm EST, Television: FOX
Kyle Shanahan wants to win against Washington whenever the two teams clash. In fact, the 49ers coach would prefer to humiliate Washington with every opportunity possible. The 49ers cruise to a solid victory, but the Washington Football Team does keep it somewhat respectable behind Chase Young’s seasonal best of four sacks.
Final Score: 49ers 31, WAS 17
WFT Record: 5-8
December 20 – Week Fifteen: Seahawks at WFT
Site: FedEx Field, Landover, MD
Time: 1:00pm EST, Television: FOX
It’s the holidays, but the Seahawks are not in the gift-giving mood and they are not in the holiday spirit of sharing in their good fortunes either. Seattle is in a fierce battle with the 49ers for a division crown, and they come to Washington to take care of business.
Final Score: SEA 29, WAS 13
WFT Record: 5-9
December 27 – Week Sixteen: Panthers at Washington
Site: FedEx Field, Landover, MD
Time: 1:00pm EST, Television: CBS
The Washington Football Team has officially been eliminated from the playoffs, but this game has meaning. Ron Rivera, the former Panthers head coach, will tell you that this is just another game on the calendar. Sure, that’s true – but only to a certain point. Washington will have some extra motivation in this game and so will Carolina. The home team prevails with a pair of Bryce Love touchdowns.
Final Score: WAS 27, CAR 14
WFT Record: 6-9
January 3 – Week Seventeen: Washington at Eagles
Site: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
Time: 1:00pm EST, Television: FOX
The last game of the 2020 season is a frigid and snowy affair. The Eagles are looking to slide into the playoffs and need a win to make it happen. The conditions are horrible as a snowstorm rages, but both teams engage in a low scoring battle and Philadelphia is able to secure a playoff spot.
Final Score: PHI 16, WAS 12
WFT Record: 6-10
The final four games proved to be a brutal stretch, but the Washington Football Team was competitive in each game and that bodes well for the future. With a record of 6-10, the Washington Football Team finishes third in the NFC East and will have the ninth overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
