The Washington Football Team could consider claiming these recent roster cuts off waivers.

We’ve officially moved past NFL cut days and onto the next exciting part of the end of the offseason.

With each NFL team having trimmed their rosters to 53, there are now a boatload of players on waivers. That will trigger another wave of roster moves as teams look to add some of these recently-released players to shore up weaknesses and capitalize on some of the talent that is still available on the market.

The Washington Football Team seems likely to be active on waivers. They finished last season with the second-worst record in the league, so that will give them the No. 2 waiver priority before the season starts. That means that they’ll have the second crack to add some of the talent available provided that the Cincinnati Bengals don’t add any players first.

The players on waivers all have some sort of flaws, but for a rebuilding team like Washington, there are some solid gambles available. They may not add all of the guys out there. Or they may target some players that we don’t expect. But for the time being, here’s a look at five players they could target on waivers before the 2020 NFL season begins in earnest.
