The Washington Football Team has plenty of options for their practice squad in 2020.

The Washington Football Team passed an important milestone on Saturday ahead of the 2020 NFL season. Roster cuts were finalized and the team created their first 53-man roster ahead of the season. As a result, 27 players were sent packing, but not all will be gone for long.

With the team’s roster now set up, attention will shift to figuring out the team’s practice squad for 2020. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, practice squad sizes have increased, and Washington will be able to keep 16 players on the unit for the season. This will afford them a chance to keep a lot of young talent around as they try to identify who their future contributors are for the team.

Washington figures to use a balanced approach when crafting their practice squad. There may be a bit of an offensive-centric focus because of both the talent they have on that side of the ball and lack of proven starters they have at each position, but the team will still carry some defensive players on the squad.

With that said, here’s a look at the players that may make it to Washington’s practice squad. All spent the 2020 offseason with Washington and while they could opt to scoop up some extra among the final cuts, it’s too hard to predict who they might end up with on the unit outside of their cuts.
