Predicting the Washington Football Team’s 53-man roster
Offensive Skill Positions
Quarterbacks
Starter: Dwayne Haskins
Haskins has taken charge this summer and he is the undisputed leader of this offense. There is no other challenger that is even close.
Backup: Kyle Allen

Once again, Alex Smith is going to miss another season or be placed on IR with a chance to return, but his comeback has been nothing short of incredible. Rookie Steven Montez is on his way to the practice squad. Kyle Allen knows the offense and that makes him the backup.
Running Backs
Starter: Adrian Peterson
Backups: Antonio Gibson, J.D. McKissic, Peyton Barber, Bryce Love
Peterson is your starter, but McKissic and Gibson will see plenty of action. Barber has vaulted to the fourth backup slot and Bryce Love slips for now. Could Love could be cut, traded, or head to some form of IR?
Wide Receivers
Starters: Terry McLaurin, Steven Sims
Backups: Dontrelle Inman, Trey Quinn, Antonio Gandy-Golden, Waiver wire addition
Two receivers the WFT were counting on are now sidelined (one with an injury and the other with legal difficulties). Adding a late offseason receiver seems very possible.
Tight Ends
Starter: Logan Thomas
Backup: Waiver wire addition or trade
Backup: Marcus Baugh
This tight end situation is very unsettled and other than Thomas and Baugh, none of the other tight ends have stepped forward this offseason. Will a trade occur? Will the WFT be active with any tight end that is cut? It seems possible.
