Cornerbacks

During this offseason, the Washington Football Team has transformed the cornerback unit considerably.  There are many changes to talk about.

Kendall Fuller was traded to Kansas City in 2018 for quarterback Alex Smith.  The Washington Football Team welcomed back the talented slot cornerback when he became a free agent during this offseason.  Look for the former Virginia Tech product to have a very good impact this season and beyond.

Prediction for Fuller:  Two interceptions, 14 pass deflections, one forced fumble, 41 tackles

Fabian Moreau has improved each season for Washington and he hopes to take the next steps this season.  This UCLA Bruin started to show some of his good talents in 2019 and he was able to prove that playing on the outside is the best option for him.

Prediction for Moreau:  Four interceptions, 11 pass deflections, 47 tackles

Ronald Darby returns home.  He was raised in nearby Oxon Hill, Maryland, and was a big fan of the Washington Football Team all those years.  Darby spent four injury-plagued years with Philadelphia, but this determined player is healthy now and hopes to put his talents on display just like he did at Florida State.

Prediction for Darby:  Six interceptions, one touchdown, 12 pass deflections, 36 tackles

Jimmy Moreland has become known as the “People’s Corner” after a sensational rookie season in 2019.  He burst onto the scene as a seventh-rounder from James Madison and Moreland should continue his rise as an impact player.

Prediction for Moreland:  Two interceptions, eight pass deflections, one fumble recovery, 33 tackles

Greg Stroman had a solid training camp and greatly improved his chances of making the roster of 53.  No guarantees, but he did have a solid August.  Another advantage of keeping Stroman on the roster is his special team abilities.  He is hoping to bounce back after missing 2019 with an injury.

Prediction for Stroman:  Four pass deflections, 1.0 sack, 26 tackles
