Defensive Ends

Chase Young gets first billing here.  He is a legitimate candidate for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors, but his stats could be affected by other talented linemen on the roster.  Again, this goes to the idea that stats will be spread out amongst a talented unit.

Prediction for Young: 12.5 sacks, 61 tackles, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, three passes deflected

Montez Sweat will improve from a very good rookie season.  Sweat will definitely benefit from more talent surrounding him and a switch to the 4-3 defense.

Prediction for Sweat:  9.5 sacks, 52 tackles, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown), four passes deflected

Ryan Kerrigan will see fewer snaps in 2020, but will continue to be a highly productive player.  The former Purdue Boilermaker makes the shift to defensive end from linebacker this year.

Prediction for Kerrigan: Four sacks, 38 tackles, one fumble recovery, two passes deflected

Jordan Brailford missed his rookie season in 2019 with an injury and is hoping to make an impact in 2020.  He has been garnering plenty of positive attention in training camp.  Look for Brailford to provide quality depth this season.

Prediction for Brailford:  One sack, 11 tackles
