The Washington Football Team’s defense is expected to be much better than average in 2020 and the potential is there to be a top ten unit in the NFL.

What will the Washington Football Team‘s defense look like in 2020?  The defensive line and linebackers could become a force in the league this season.  Welcome to the next article in our late summer series that is attempting to predict the production of each unit on offense and defense.

Today, we take a detailed look at the defensive linemen and linebackers — two groups that are expected to be the backbone of a very good defense this season.  It would be easy to get carried away with lofty predictions, but we must remember that a supremely talented group with many components will share in the successes.

Therefore, several of the key players may seem to have “lower” numbers than expected.  Keep that in mind when viewing these educated guesses that total tackles will include solo and assisted.  Let’s get right to it.
