Re-grading the Washington Football Team’s 2019 NFL Draft performance
Round 4
The WFT did not have a fourth-round draft choice when they entered the second day of the 2019 draft, but a trade for their third-round compensatory pick netted them a pair of fourth rounders and they were in business early on Day 3.
With the 10th overall pick in the fourth round, the WFT added Stanford running back Bryce Love. The supremely talented Cardinal was injured late in his Stanford career and it canceled out his first season with Washington.
Current reports suggest that Love is having an outstanding training camp.

With another pick in the fourth round, Washington selected wide-bodied Indiana left guard Wes Martin. With the surprising emergence of journeyman tackle/guard Ereck Flowers in 2019, Martin’s opportunities were limited last season. Frankly, the sample is too small to grade at this time.
It remains to be seen what kind of impacts Love and Martin will have in 2020 and beyond, but we must do something here. It’s a first for us, but this round will definitely produce a grade in the future.
