Former Washington Football Team RB Derrius Guice accused of rape
Derrius Guice is in more hot water, as the former Washington Football Team running back has now been accused of rape by two women.
A couple of weeks ago, the Washington Football Team elected to release running back Derrius Guice in the wake of domestic violence allegations against him. The decision was made quickly by the team and was a big statement about the team culture from Ron Rivera.
And as many anticipated at the time, the decision to release Guice appears to be the right one.
Guice now finds himself in more trouble after a story by USA TODAY’s Kenny Jacoby and Nancy Armour that dropped on Wednesday detailed rape allegations against Guice. The assaults allegedly occurred when Guice was a freshman at LSU in 2016.

Here are the basic facts of the allegations, per the story.
"Both women told USA TODAY that Guice assaulted them in their apartments after nights of heavy drinking. One woman said Guice showed up uninvited to a party she was hosting, then entered her bedroom while she was sleeping and raped her. The other woman, the tennis player, said Guice raped her when she allowed him into her home after meeting him for the first time at a bar."
The story would go on to detail LSU’s failure to respond to the allegations levied by the two students as well as a pattern of aggressive behavior from Guice. One particularly chilling incident occurred after Guice got wind that the woman was making it clear that the sex wasn’t consensual, as Armour and Jacoby detailed.
"The woman said she was at a friend’s apartment when Guice stopped by. The friend told her to lock herself in his bedroom, which she did, but Guice pounded on the door until she opened it, she said.“I just unlocked the door and looked at him,” the woman recalled. “He started going off and saying I don’t know who he is, I don’t know who I’m messing with and he should go and get his gun. I told him, ‘Do what you need to do.’“After that, I closed the door in his face and locked it.”"
The allegations against Guice are certainly disturbing. Guice and his lawyer are denying them, but when coupling this latest story with the domestic violence charges against him, it seems that Washington made the right move parting ways with the troubled LSU product.
We’ll see what happens next in the Guice saga. But as long as these allegations are being investigated, don’t expect to see him playing in the NFL.
