Washington Football Team Roster Projection: Updates for Derrius Guice, Reuben Foster
It’s time for another Washington Football Team 53-man roster projection.
A lot has changed since the last time we did a 53-man roster projection. Most notably, Derrius Guice is no longer with Washington. The third-year running back was arrested on domestic violence charges and cut the day those allegations were made public.
Elsewhere, Reuben Foster and Alex Smith are both doing well on their recovery paths. Foster was activated from the PUP list over a year after a brutal knee injury while Smith was cleared for football activity over a year and a half after suffering a devastating leg injury.
Their statuses moving forward will bear watching. But right now, things look good for Foster. And for Smith, there’s at least a chance that he plays, which is something nobody would’ve predicted a month ago.
Those were the only noteworthy changes. Cody Latimer is on the Commissioner’s Exempt List related to his offseason arrest. Kevin Pamphile, Donald Payne, and Ryan Lewis are now parts of the 80-man roster, and (spoiler alert) one of them is included among our projected cut to 53.
Without further ado, here’s a look at our latest 53-man roster projection. We’ll kick things off with a bit of an experiment at the quarterback position.
