The Washington Football Team has a whole new look heading into 2020, and that statement applies to the broadcast crew as well.

The Washington Football Team has undergone a stark organizational makeover throughout the 2020 offseason. It started with the firing of Bruce Allen and the acquisition of Ron Rivera at the turn of the decade, but the changes have trickled farther down, into the more specialized departments of the franchise.

Around a month ago, longtime media executive Larry Michael retired, leaving a void in the team’s media department. That void was quickly filled by prestigious anchor Julie Donaldson. Donaldson was revealed to be tasked with putting together the team’s broadcast crew for games throughout the season, and today, she revealed her choices.

Donaldson will be joined on the Washington Football Team’s game day radio broadcast by two individuals: Former Washington Football Team defensive back and NFL Network analyst DeAngelo Hall, and longtime Washington sports broadcaster Bram Weinstein. The hires were confirmed by Rhiannon Walker of The Athletic, among others.

In the press release detailing the hires, Donaldson touted Hall’s experience as a player for the team and Weinstein’s longtime connection to the franchise as traits that should have Hall and Weinstein primed to flourish in their new roles. Hall will be an analyst and provide commentary, while Weinstein will be the play-by-play announcer.

Weinstein, 47, expressed gratitude for being offered his new position, writing the following words on Twitter in response to the announcement of his hire:

“I’m honored and privileged to be part of the new Washington NFL broadcast booth. It’s the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for someone who has loved this franchise since being a kid. I can’t wait to get started with Julie Donaldson and DeAngelo Hall and make the fans proud.”

Both voices should be familiar; Hall has frequented as an analyst on NFL Network since his retirement from the Washington Football Team, as mentioned above, and Weinstein is a common guest on John Keim’s podcast, offering his insight on the team.

Fans will soon get a new look at their reimagined broadcast booth, as the start of the 2020 NFL regular season looms less than a month away.
