Here are some bold predictions for the Washington Football Team ahead of the 2020 NFL season.

Football, like The Dude, abides. And bloggers who write about the NFL abide as well. So, despite a growing sense of unease about the Autumn of 2020, I am forging ahead with bold predictions for the upcoming season for your Washington Football Team.

OK, maybe they’re not that bold. But I’m writing them down and putting them on the internet, so one day, you can look back and throw these things in my face. That’s all right with me. I’ve dined out a long time on picking the exact total of Super Bowl XXV (Thank you, Scott Norwood). I usually forget to mention how badly I mangled the WFT/Raiders Super Bowl, or how I thought Desmond Howard would lead us to 10 more years of glory.

Making football predictions is like playing golf. You can hit 25 lousy shots in a row, but the minute you drill that 3-iron to within 10 feet – well, you’re boring people with that story for years to come.

So here we go. Five things that I absolutely guarantee will occur for the WFT in 2020.

(Disclaimer: this use of the word “guarantee” does not in any way suggest that this is a guarantee.)
