Timon Parris

Experience: 3rd season

Draft Status: Undrafted, 2018

2019 Stats: Three games, no starts

2020 Outlook: Timon Parris has been developing with the Washington football team for two full seasons now. In both 2018 and 2019, he was initially signed to the practice squad after failing to make it past roster cuts, and he would later be promoted to the active roster near the end of the season.

In 2019, Parris was promoted with three games left in the regular season, and he would go on to play in all three of those games. However, he only saw snaps on special teams, and only played 14 total snaps over that time span. Parris has shown flashes in preseason, but he hasn’t been afforded the chance he needs to take on a greater role.

Expected Role: Parris has failed to lock down a spot on the Washington football team’s roster for two years, but were he to succeed this season, he’d likely be a top backup at tackle, with a skill set that could also translate to guard. At 6-foot-6, 315, Parris is a big lineman with a long range, and that size allows him to be flexible along the outer portions of the line.

Status: Parris is on the roster bubble for the time being. The old regime promoted him to avoid having him fall into the possession of another team, but Ron Rivera’s group has less information on Parris. He’ll likely be battling Geron Christian for the fourth tackle spot, if the team decides to keep four, and it may come down to practice habits and work ethic.
