Geron Christian

Experience: 3rd season

Draft Status: 2018 third-round pick, 74th overall

2019 Stats: 16 games, two starts

2020 Outlook: Geron Christian saw an increase in impact in 2019, playing in all sixteen games and starting two at left tackle. Unfortunately, that impact remained negative, as opposed to positive. Christian’s experience could help him improve in Year 3, but as of 2019, he was still showing issues with balance, strength, and stance posture which prevented him from taking a leap.

Expected Role: Christian hasn’t done enough to factor into the position battle at left tackle, and after free agency, Cornelius Lucas is head and shoulders above him on the depth chart. Christian still provides depth at the position, but he’s in danger of being phased out.

Status: Despite being a third-round selection just two years ago, Christian is very much on the roster bubble. His status is first contingent on a team decision to keep four tackles, and even then, he’ll have to beat out Timon Parris, who might show more promise on a level playing field.
