Washington football training camp profiles: Wide Receiver
Emanuel Hall
Experience: 2nd season
Draft Status: 2019 undrafted free agent
2019 Stats: N/a
2020 Outlook: Hall seemed like a great potential sleeper for Washington. The undrafted free agent out of Missouri was considered to be a potential mid-round pick in 2019 but makeup concerns and durability issues dropped him to the ranks of the undrafted. He averaged 20.8 yards per catch in college and has a great combination of size (6-3) and athletic ability.
Unfortunately, Hall’s chances of making the Washington roster were dashed when he tore his Achilles in June. So, he’ll have to delay his attempts to make his NFL debut until 2021.
Expected Role: Hall could’ve been a back-end roster candidate and would’ve been a practice squad player at the very least. But his role this season will be as a developmental candidate behind the scenes.
Status: Injury stash. Hall still has potential at just 23 years old. Washington should place him on IR and work with him to hone his skill set. Maybe they’ll uncover a gem and reap the rewards a year from now.
