Offensive Line

High End: Larry Warford

The Redskins are probably more concerned about the tackle position, but they shouldn’t pass up a guard like Warford. He is the best lineman on the market and at 29, he is the one player who they could consider investing in long-term. With Brandon Scherff playing on a franchise tag, it would be a lot to invest in two guards, but it would certainly upgrade the power running game, which would, in turn, help out Dwayne Haskins quite a bit.

Low End: Kelvin Beachum

More from Riggo's Rag

There are lots of veteran tackles on the market, and Beachum may not be the best. But he is the most versatile and is also among the youngest. He can play either tackle spot and has a lot of starting experience.

Redskin fans seem eager to pick up Jason Peters, and I would never turn down a player of that caliber, but he’s 38 and coming off several injuries. Adding a more reliable body like Beachum would give you four big tackles competing for two spots. May the best men win. (If he is genuinely available, I’d actually go after Demar Dotson, but that’s in part because he’s 6-foot-9, and what can I say – I like those tall guys.)

Linebacker

High End: See Wide Receiver above. Sorry.

Low End: Nigel Bradham

I always thought Bradham should have been a better player than turned out to be. But he has been a productive, durable presence who can hold down the middle linebacker spot, and that could have some value for the Redskins.

Darron Lee

Lee was suspended at the end of the 2018 season, which effectively ended his time in New York. He didn’t do much in KC last year. Still, I’ve always thought he showed promise. He plays a bit like Redskins rookie Khaleke Hudson, only Lee is a little bigger and more of a legitimate NFL linebacker. He also is somewhat of a poor man’s Reuben Foster – only one who actually stays healthy and on the field.
