Rounds 6 and 7
Remember Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk, the preseason stud who shined against third and fourth stringers of other teams? He was cut before the season and the former Bear spent some time in Carolina, Tennessee, Dallas, and New York (Jets). He never played in a regular-season game.
Indiana tight end Ted Bolser was the pick early in Round 7. That is the extent of his career with the Redskins. He tried to secure a roster spot with Tampa Bay and Arizona, but to no avail. He never played a down in the NFL.
Arkansas kicker Zach Hocker was the final pick for Washington in the 2014 draft. He had a reputation as a strong-legged specialist, but the former Razorback had accuracy issues. He didn’t make the roster and spent time with Miami, New Orleans, Los Angeles (Rams), Cincinnati, and Tampa Bay.
Must Read. Buy into the Terry McLaurin hype ahead of his second season. light
Hocker appeared in just eight regular-season games and has been out of the NFL since 2017.
The Redskins continued their late-round woes again in 2014 with three more busts. Late round additions rarely make the final cuts, but the Redskins continued the misery in this draft as well. The grade for these two rounds is obvious once again.
