Round 5

The Redskins picked a wide receiver in the fifth round – Tulane’s Ryan Grant.  His first three years were uneventful and many fans saw him as a bust, but Grant had a breakout season in his fourth year with the team.  He produced 45 catches and four touchdowns.

Selecting Grant was something of a surprise when you consider the Redskins added two receivers in free agency (DeSean Jackson, Andre Roberts).

After leaving Washington, Grant has spent time with Indianapolis, Oakland, and Green Bay. He is currently a free agent and his time in the NFL is probably coming to an end.
