Round 4

A cornerback was the choice in Round 4 when Clemson’s Bashaud Breeland was announced as the pick.

Breeland came with a few character concerns, but he turned out to be an excellent pick with great value.  Sure, he was a bit of a headache at times, but the on-field production was very good.

Breeland recorded 10 turnovers (8 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries) as a Redskin, including a 96-yard pick-six late in the 2017 season against the Chargers.  It was a bit surprising to see the team let him walk in free agency, especially when you consider how good corners are valued and his contract would’ve been very reasonable.

The grade here is good and it is based on production and superb value.

Grade: B+
