Today, our draft podcast series continues with an in-depth discussion on Redskins fifth-round selection Khaleke Hudson!

Last time we fired up the podcast, we spoke at length about the Washington Redskins first pick in the fifth round, San Diego State center Keith Ismael. If you want to listen to that conversation, it’s linked here!

For now, however, let’s move on to the next player in the fifth round: Michigan linebacker Khaleke Hudson.

Despite having a linebacking core that was saturated with able bodies, the Redskins decided to add Hudson to the fold in the middle of Day 3. In a sense, the decision seemed expected, as both Ron Rivera and Jack Del Rio are former linebackers who seem to have a nose for talent at the position. But there immediately rose some confusion, as to how Hudson would make an early impact.

Hudson fulfilled a role with some versatility in his time as a Wolverine, and in his best moments, he showcased high upside. But there are some questions concerning Hudson’s transition to the NFL stage, from his size, to his role definition, to the amount of opportunity he’ll be afforded.

What should we make of the Redskins’ selection of Hudson, and what can we expect from him? How might the picture at linebacker change with Hudson joining the group, and does his presence change anything in 2020? These questions, among various others, were issues we sought to tackle in our latest edition of the Riggo’s Rag Podcast!

As usual, I was joined by my colleague Jacob Camenker to talk about Khaleke Hudson’s traits as seen on film, as well as how those traits might apply to his NFL projection. To listen to the latest edition of the Riggo’s Rag Podcast, simply click the play button below!
