Week 17 – Redskins at Eagles

Washington closes out the 2020 season on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. While it’s not an ideal season finale, it’s a chance for the Redskins to put up a fight against a quality opponent, and move into the offseason with some measured anticipation for the next season to come.

Given that the Eagles might still be in the playoff hunt at this point, I don’t expect them to take Washington for granted as an opponent. But Ron Rivera will be in his players’ ears, and they’ll see this last game as an opportunity to make a strong impression for the next stage of the rebuild.

The Redskins will ultimately lose, but they’ll fight well against Philadelphia, with numerous players putting together standout performances in their last chance to do so before the 2021 season. Washington ends the 2020 campaign with a record of 5-11, a slight improvement from their 3-13 mark in 2019, and with any luck, a precursor of greater success to come.

Prediction: WAS 30, PHI 35

Final Record: 5-11
