Week 16 – Redskins vs. Panthers

At this point, the Redskins are already out of the playoff hunt, with a record of 4-10 through fourteen games. It’s been an uneven year, with contrasting highs and lows, but with one more bright spot to look back on, Washington can head into the 2021 offseason with optimism, and a sense that Ron Rivera’s rebuild is working.

They’ll have a chance to create that memory in Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers, formerly coached by Rivera himself. It’ll be Matt Rhule wearing the electric blue cap instead this year, and while his team has an underrated amount of talent, and a potential offensive mastermind at the offensive coordinator position, it’ll take some time for the pieces to come together for the former Baylor coach. I give the edge in this one to the coach with more NFL experience, especially now that Scott Turner’s own offense has had time to take hold in D.C.

Prediction: WAS 27, CAR 24

Record: 5-10
