Five most pivotal games on the Redskins schedule in 2020
Week 4: Redskins vs Ravens
Who doesn’t love a Redskins vs. Ravens game? This Battle of the Beltway will be an important one for the Redskins because it will be the first real test for this ‘Skins offense. Sure, to this point in the season they have played the Eagles and the Browns who both have good defenses, but neither compare to what the Ravens bring to the field.
Last season, the Ravens defense ranked sixth against the run, fifth against the pass, and third in points allowed. This will be the game that Dwayne Haskins will have the opportunity to show his doubters that he has the talent to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.
The Redskins passing game did not produce as expected last season. In fact, they ranked dead last in passing yards per game.
During the offseason, Rivera completely overhauled the tight end position and added playmakers to the offense in the draft selecting RB/WR Antonio Gibson and WR Antonio Gandy-Golden. If Haskins and his supporting cast can put up a good game against a top-five defense early in the season, this could swing the momentum in the team’s favor for the remainder of the year.
