Redskins: Dissecting the narratives surrounding the 2020 NFL Draft

The NFL Draft is a breeding ground for out-of-control narratives, and the Redskins haven’t been immune at No. 2 overall.

One would think that the Washington Redskins would have a relatively simple draft process with one of the highest picks in hand and one of the best prospects available, but narratives have found their way into the D.C. football arena again, as they often do.

There are a number of runaway narratives to combat in the waning hours before the 2020 NFL Draft, so let’s get to it. Most of them revolve around Chase Young, the Redskins’ likely selection at No. 2, but as you’ll see, it’s not just about him.
