Wes Martin

Wes Martin is another young player who is primed to have a breakout year next season. Last season, Martin was stuck on the depth chart behind Pro Bowl guard Brandon Scherff and newly-signed left guard Ereck Flowers. With the departure of Flowers, Martin is in an excellent position to take over the left guard position in Washington.

Martin played a total of 290 snaps last season, only giving up one sack. His most notable game came in replacement of Brandon Scherff against the Philadelphia Eagles. Martin looked like a viable starting guard, holding his own against the likes of Fletcher Cox, one of the best defensive linemen in the game.

Wes Martin may be in for some competition at the position thanks to newly-aquired interior offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer. If Martin can continue to produce like he did last season, he would give the Redskins coaches and fan base something to be happy about on an offensive line that is full of questions.
