Redskins Mock Draft: A look at the ‘Skins first four picks
Here’s a look at one possible scenario for the Redskins first four picks in the 2020 NFL Draft.
“Riverboat” Ron Rivera is soon going to be looking to maximize his draft assets in the 2020 NFL Draft. For a Washington Redskins team that has a mountain full of starting roster slots open, the new regime in D.C. will look to jumpstart the Redskins rebuild into hyperdrive.
A successful draft is needed for the ‘Skins; they haven’t had a draft full of hits in many years. Sure, the team has hit some nice prospects in the later rounds, but all in all, like the play on the field, Washington’s scouting department and draft execution have been mediocre at best.
With the Redskins first four selections coming within the first 145 picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, Washington’s success rate on these draft selections must be top tier. Due to not having an excess of draft capital, and a fanbase ready for better days, the importance this year’s draft has on the ‘Skins front office is immense.
The Redskins can go numerous ways in this draft. From trading back for a crazy haul from potential teams like the Chargers and Dolphins to staying at home on their picks and going with the best player available or a fit-based method, the Redskins doors are wide open.
For the time being, we’ll go with what they’re suited with as of today. Here are some potential ideal picks for the Redskins with the Nos. 2, 66, 108, and 142 picks.
