60. . Cornerback. Minnesota Vikings. Kristian Fulton. 22. player

The Vikings need some help at cornerback. This offseason, they lost Trae Waynes, Mackensie Alexander, and Xavier Rhodes (who they cut) in free agency. As a result, the top corner on their depth chart is 2018 first-round pick Mike Hughes, but the team doesn’t have much aside from him.

There are a few options that the Vikings could consider here, but the one they’ve been connected to most frequently is Kristian Fulton. The LSU product was a solid starter on the outside for the squad last season and, along with Derek Stingley Jr., comprised a strong corner tandem that helped the LSU defense bottle up some of the nation’s best offenses.

Since 2018, Fulton has only allowed 40 percent of passes thrown his way to be completed. He defended 14 passes last year and logged an interception for LSU, but those numbers don’t tell the full story of how good he was.

Fulton is a thick corner with a 6-foot, 197-pound frame. He ran a 4.46 40-yard dash and a sub-7-second 3-cone drill and appears to have solid athletic ability. He should fit well in Mike Zimmer’s defense and will have the chance to emerge as an outside presence across from Hughes.

Perhaps the Vikings will prefer a Trevon Diggs type at this spot. Or they could opt to grab an offensive lineman, too. But given the issues they have in the secondary, going after Fulton makes some sense and he should at least give the team a few corner options alongside Hughes and Holton Hill.
