The offseason is the perfect time to play around with what-if scenarios, and with the 2020 NFL Draft just weeks away, the Redskins are running out of time to run through the possibilities.

Just for fun, let’s imagine that Ron Rivera and the Washington Redskins decided they wanted to pour every asset they had into Dwayne Haskins’ development. Let’s imagine they decided to put the defense on the back burner, and decided to invest all of their 2020 draft capital into the offense. What would that NFL Draft haul look like? How much progress could potentially made on the offensive side of the ball? What kind of overall value would that bring? This hypothetical looks to answer those questions.

Here’s an important note, because it’s going to come up at some point: The purpose of this mock is not to present a reasonable or realistic scenario, but to instead encapsulate the kind of value the Redskins could add on one side of the ball, if they invested all of their capital into that department. Mock drafts are all about the theoretical. It’s fun to play around with the possibilities, and we only have two more weeks to do it before we have to talk about boring real-life stuff. So let’s get into it.
