Safety

Monte Nicolson, who has all the speed in the world, ran a 4.42. But the Redskins were right to give Nicholson a new start. Sean Davis, who is slower than Nicholson, posted a 4.46. But Davis, a metro area native, supposedly displays the intangibles of a football player.

But Troy Apke probably gets a shot at more playing time as he is the fastest of the bunch.

Now, Apke is regarded as a fan favorite in part from his 4.35. Unfortunately, in terms of production, Apke could be on track to have a career similar to former Redskins safety Adam Archuleta. Archuleta ran a similar 4.37.

With similar 40 yard dash times, both display the inability to stay in the starting lineup, Archuleta nicknamed ‘Arch deluxe’ for his sudden disappearance from the NFL, Apke with one career interception already exceeds Archuleta’s Redskins total.
