New York Giants. Tristan Wirfs. 4. player. 31. . Offensive Tackle

Ian: Isaiah Simmons has been a common selection for the New York Giants in mocks, and he’d certainly be a good choice, as the Giants need a lot of help and talent on the defensive side of the ball.

That said, the Giants’ drafting of Daniel Jones in 2019 has strengthened the importance of protecting the quarterback position, and at No. 4, with it being likely that Dave Gettleman will have his choice of the top four offensive tackles in the 2020 NFL Draft, picking a player to keep Jones safe seems like a more conducive move in 2020.

At this selection, Tristan Wirfs is the pick, as he can slide into the right tackle spot for the Giants and flourish right away. Wirfs is an elite athlete with awesome power to pair with his athletic profile, and he has swing ability once Nate Solder retires.
