2020 NFL Mock Draft: Dueling GMs mock sees Redskins make big move
By Ian Cummings
Ian: That’s right folks, we have a trade. The Miami Dolphins have traded up from the No. 5 pick, to nab the Washington Redskins’ No. 2 selection. This ensures that the Dolphins get their quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa, but it comes at a price.
For now, we won’t divulge the entirety of the trade details. The portion relevant to this mock rests in the first round, where the Redskins are sure to get an extra first-round selection. In this case, the Redskins now have the No. 5 pick and the No. 26 pick, so they have two swings on Day 1, which they can use to add talent to the roster.
As for the Dolphins, after their active free agency period, they can afford to trade up and get some security on the quarterback front. Tua Tagovailoa is a solid option as well, as he’s recently been given positive medical updates, and with his athleticism, accuracy, and competitive toughness, he has the upside of a franchise quarterback.
