52. . Cornerback. Jacksonville Jaguars. Noah Igbinoghene. 20. player

Ian: Not gonna lie, part of me making this pick was to get a reaction out of you, the reader, which I’m sure I did. But I truly think Noah Igbinoghene can be worth this pick. He’ll need to develop, but he’s not even 21 years old yet, and he has the upside of a Top 3 cornerback in this class.

Igbinoghene is one of my favorite players on tape. He’s an elite athlete, possessing the long speed to mirror receivers downfield and the short-area burst to close gaps with insane quickness. He’s also very fluid with his hips.

While some elite athletes play lazily, as their athleticism can compensate somewhat, Igbinoghene doesn’t make this mistake. He’s an athlete who gives 100 percent on every play, culminating in a searing play speed and an aggressiveness that makes him a very appealing prospect to defensive coordinators.

Igbinoghene is a bit raw, but he has the athletic foundation, the physical length and density, the mentality, and the overall potential to be a Top 20 pick. And for the Jaguars, who need new starters at almost every cornerback position, Igbinoghene’s versatility to play inside or outside will be an added bonus.
