2020 NFL Mock Draft: Dueling GMs mock sees Redskins make big move

Jacob: If Justin Herbert gets a couple of years to develop and learn under Tom Brady, my goodness, he could progress. Quite an intriguing pick for the Bucs of the future.
Onto the Broncos, my mini-run on Alabama players continues with another ‘Bama receiver coming off the board.
Ruggs to the Broncos has been a popular mock pick over the course of mock draft season, and it’s easy to see why. The Broncos have Courtland Sutton at receiver, but they don’t have much else. They traded away Emmanuel Sanders ahead of the trade deadline last year and while Noah Fant figures to make strides in his second season as an NFL tight end, the team is still one receiving weapon short of giving Drew Lock a solid arsenal of weapons.
Ruggs would be a great fit in Denver. They need a true speed threat and Ruggs would surely qualify. He did run a 4.27 40-yard dash at the combine and believe it or not, he may even play faster than that at times. He’s a burner and with Lock’s great arm, he could become an excellent deep threat in the mold of Tyreek Hill.
But Ruggs isn’t just a great speed option. He is also a very good route runner and should be able to use that plus his speed to gain separation at the next level. Plus, he’ll be able to take the ball on jet sweeps and could potentially be used on returns to provide some game-breaking speed. That will make him a multi-faceted weapon that the Broncos can use in whatever way they see fit.
