To Chase Young, or not to Chase Young? That is the question for the burgundy and gold to ponder in the coming weeks.

Before we even begin, let’s also make one thing clear: This is a fantastic problem for the Washington Redskins to have. Do you pick a possible generational talent at No. 2? Or do you gain more draft picks and get another first-round pick and some change to move down a few spots? It’s going to be hard for the Redskins to mess this one up.

I remember sitting in my $20 Dream Seats in Fedex Field last December when the Giants came to town and defeated the Redskins in overtime. A few Giants fans made their presence felt as Daniel Jones put on a clinic in front of all 23 people in Landover. They were laughing and high fiving and reminding us how next year was the Giants year.

But as we made our way out of our seats, I just looked at them smiling and said, “Fellas, I appreciate you guys more than you know, because I can’t wait for Chase Young.” That’s when they realized that while they won the game, the Redskins were almost certainly locked into the No. 2 overall pick for the 2020 Draft.

Fast forward to right now, and we are just a few weeks away from the cards being sent to the podium for selections on day one.

But as we get closer to the draft, rumors and reports have made it clear that taking the Ohio State defensive end as the second overall pick isn’t the only option on the table. The question is whether or not taking Chase Young is the best option. So here is an argument for either side; you can be the one to make up your own mind.
