NFL free agency is mostly over. But with the Redskins still needing depth in a few areas, they could target some of the players remaining on the free-agent market.

The Washington Redskins have made a lot of changes to their team in 2020 free agency. They haven’t made a lot of long-term commitments. And they haven’t landed many big names after missing out on Amari Cooper and Austin Hooper. But the team has added depth and competition to their roster without vastly overpaying for players. So, that is good news.

Still, the team may not be done in free agency. We’re now two weeks into the process, as legal tampering began on Monday, March 16, but there are still some potential role players left on the market.

That’s not to say that there’s a lot of talent. Nor are there players that the Redskins should consider signing to more than a one-year deal to add some competition at positions of need. But still, there are ways for the team to upgrade their depth ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft.

These names aren’t going to inspire a lot of hope. And again, the Redskins shouldn’t be looking to spend big bucks on any player; they’re better off rolling most of their remaining cap space over to 2021 where they can target some more big fish once they assess the state of the roster during the Ron Rivera era.

But still, these players could make a difference for their squad. So, they should at least consider signing them if the price is right.
