Five potential Redskins targets to follow as legal tampering begins

No. 5 – Kansas City Chiefs CB Kendall Fuller
Because the Redskins have over $60 million in cap space, speculators have been quick to connect them to their choice of several high-profile free agent cornerbacks. Byron Jones of the Cowboys is a popular option, as is James Bradberry of the Panthers, for obvious reasons.
All this said, reports suggest that the Redskins aren’t as high on the value of the class’ top players as they were expected to be, and in the end, Washington could opt for a less expensive cornerback with lingering starting upside.
Kendall Fuller is a name that qualifies, and a name that might be familiar to you. Fuller was the Redskins’ third-round selection in the 2016 NFL Draft. In 2017, he’d developed into one of the game’s better slot cornerbacks, amassing four interceptions and 10 pass deflections, but he’d ultimately be shipped to the Chiefs after that year, in exchange for Alex Smith.
Now, Fuller’s rookie contract is up, and with a fresh Super Bowl ring from Kansas City, Fuller could be looking to come home, to the new-look Redskins. He’s just turned 25 years old, he’s from the area, and Washington has a need he can fill for a good price. Keep an eye on that.
Update: Kendall Fuller signed with the Washington Redskins. Here are the details!
