Guard/Center. Detroit Lions. Graham Glasgow. 3. player. 50.

Say the Redskins want to add an offensive guard to replace Flowers or Scherff but also want to add someone who could play at center in a pinch. That way they don’t have to use Tony Bergstrom in that role anymore but also don’t have to invest in another center to eat up a roster spot.

If they do take that route, Graham Glasgow would be the perfect option for the team.

Glasgow was a third-round pick by the Detroit Lions in the 2016 NFL Draft and he became a starter right away for the squad. He has mostly played center during the course of his career, but he was the primary starter at left guard for the team in 2017 and right guard in 2019. So, he is certainly versatile and can play where he’s most needed.

For the most part, Glasgow has been healthy, as he has missed just two career games, one in his rookie season and one last season. And when on the field, he has been a pretty solid blocker and has improved with each season. Considering that he’s just 27, he’ll still have time to get better so that improvement should continue.

Of the interior linemen on the market, Glasgow is among the best and most versatile players. That said, he may also be more affordable than some of the top-tier options. So, he should get consideration for the team if they find themselves needing a starter at either guard position.
