Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson’s career has been almost a mirror image of Marcus Allen’s. We look at how the two running backs compare to one another, and how Peterson’s 2020 season could look.

“Washed up”. “Has been.” “Lost a step.” “Too old.” Many of these same things have been said about Adrian Peterson the last couple of years were said about Marcus Allen when he left the Raiders after the 1992 season.

However, that was not the case as Allen proved he had plenty left in the tank, leading the league in touchdowns his first year with the Kansas City Chiefs while adding four more quality years to finish off a Hall of Fame career.

Could Peterson finish off his career strong with the Redskins the same way that Allen finished his with the Raiders? We’ll look at how these two legendary running backs careers resemble each others and use Allen’s later years as a barometer for Peterson’s 2020 production.
