Seattle Seahawks

Given that the Redskins are looking for a return similar to what the Texans got in exchange for Duane Brown, wouldn’t it be fitting for him to go to the team that first traded for Brown?

The Seahawks have a hole at right tackle. Pending free agent Germain Ifedi has struggled since being a first-round pick by the team and it may be in their best interest to part with him. They didn’t pick up his fifth-year option, after all, so they may not be too high on him.

Williams would be an upgrade even if he doesn’t play on his natural left side. He and Brown would be a savvy, veteran tandem that would do a lot to help Russell Wilson have time to throw in the pocket while also giving him time to escape and run around to make plays as necessary. That could give the Seahawks offense a boost, as Wilson could improve with a better supporting cast (particularly blocking-wise).

Pulling off a deal with Seattle won’t be easy. They have the last pick in the second round of the draft and the 27th overall in the first round. Would they give up a first to get Williams? It’s possible, albeit unlikely. But if it’s their only chance to get Williams, they may have to pull the trigger on him.
