With the Washington Redskins only having Jeremy Sprinkle, Hale Hentges, and Caleb Wilson under contract next season, could Ron Rivera look to trade for top talent around the league?

Going into the 2019 season, the Washington Redskins looked like they could have a productive tight end group. Unfortunately, during the season, both of their top tight ends went down with injuries, leaving them slim at the position.

With the release of Jordan Reed, and Vernon Davis making the decision to retire from football, the tight end group will look very different next season. Ron Rivera has already stated his opinion that the tight end group is a big question mark on the team. Many expected Ron Rivera to utilize free agency and sign Greg Olsen to a one-year deal. After Olsen decided to sign with the Seahawks, the Redskins are back at square one in the tight end search.

Could the better option be to trade for a veteran tight end that is still under contract with another team? If the Washington Redskins do decide to trade for a tight end, then these four players could be intriguing options for them to look into.
