Super Bowl 54 will be played between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. Here are the notable former Redskins playing in the contest.

The NFL’s 100th season will culminate with Super Bowl 54 on Sunday night. The matchup looks great on paper. The Kansas City Chiefs and their high-flying offense will take on the San Francisco 49ers and their well-rounded team with one of the league’s best rushing attacks.

Who will come out on top? That much is unknown. But one thing is certain. It should be better than the low-scoring Los Angeles Rams vs. New England Patriots game from last season.

For Washington Redskins fans, a Super Bowl appearance hasn’t been on the mind of many for quite some time, as the team has sputtered under Dan Snyder. But now, they are rebuilding with Ron Rivera at the helm and will hope that in a few year’s time, the team will be back to being playoff contenders at the very least.

Until that happens though, ‘Skins fans will have to be happy watching some former familiar faces in action. This year’s Super Bowl has a handful of former Redskins players and coaches competing, and here’s a look at some of the most notable connections the team has to the big game.
