Assessing Redskins first-round options: Ohio State CB Jeffrey Okudah

Chase Young isn’t the only Ohio State defender the Redskins are doing their due diligence on.

The draft process is a long and winding affair, and even for a team like the Washington Redskins, who seem to have substantial but finite options at the No. 2 overall pick, studying alternative decisions can be a similarly lengthy proposition.

The Redskins were once believed to be nearly all-in on prolific Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young, and for now, there’s no reason to believe he isn’t the favorite prospect. But a report yesterday surfaced, suggesting that another Buckeyes defender had the team’s eye as well: Cornerback Jeffrey Okudah.

Cornerback is arguably a bigger need than edge rusher for Washington, but is the value the same at the No. 2 overall pick? To answer that question, one has to dive into the film, and analyze Okudah’s 2020 NFL Draft profile.
