Redskins: Grading Ron Rivera’s hire along with other NFC East hires

There’s no point grading coaching hires this early. But guess what? We’re gonna do it anyway.

The 2020 offseason has bred a unique situation, in which three of the four NFC East teams are welcoming new head coaches to the fold. The Washington Redskins officially hired Ron Rivera at the turn of the new decade. The Dallas Cowboys brought on Mike McCarthy a few days ago, and yesterday, the Giants officially welcomed Joe Judge to their staff as the head man.

The Redskins got a lot of praise for their quickness in nabbing Rivera, a two-time Coach of the Year. But when digging into the details, how does the Rivera hire compare to the hires of McCarthy and Judge, respectively? Flip the page, as we’ve given grades for each coaching transition!
