3. Redskins must have a better game from Adrian Peterson this time

Adrian Peterson played his first game of 2019 against Dallas, and it did not go as he had hoped. On the day, Peterson finished with just 25 yards on ten carries. He found the end zone, but the Dallas defensive front did an excellent job of bottling AP up, preventing him from getting anything going.

Against the Giants last week, Peterson had another rough day, finishing with 36 yards on 15 attempts, though he did score a rushing touchdown in his fourth straight game, passing the legendary Walter Payton in the process. Peterson will need a better game this week if Washington is going to upset Dallas. The Cowboys are 13th in the league against the run, giving up just under 105 yards per game, so it won’t be easy.

If the ‘Skins offensive line can open some holes this time around and get Peterson going, it will help keep the offense two-dimensional and take pressure off of Case Keenum. If Dallas bottles up Peterson for a second game in 2019, expect Washington to finish the season 3-13.
