Washington Redskins 2020 Christmas wish list and superlatives

The gift you wanted – A complete, successful Redskins overhaul
You’ve been asking for it since, what, January? January of 2015? Every year, it goes unnoticed, almost like someone was trying to build the suspense for you, to subvert your expectations so much so that when you finally do get what you wanted, it’s that much more fulfilling.
There’s no singing at the North Pole, but you can’t help yourself when the Redskins finally break free from the shadow of Bruce Allen, revamp the front office structure, and the head coaching staff, in the exact way that you wanted. Maybe you wanted Eric Bieniemy. Maybe you wanted Robert Saleh. The details don’t matter. There’s a unified vision to build around the team’s young core, and suddenly, the Redskins are an enviable group.
It might take a little while for this gift to pay off in earnest, but you’re not complaining, because you know what it means. For the first time in ten Christmases, you got what you wanted, and each year, you wanted it just a little bit more. Now that’s what the Christmas spirit is all about.
