1. The Reality Is, we are now in the Dwayne Haskins Era.

All we needed was one start like last week. One start where, from start to finish, Dwayne Haskins looked like a competent NFL starter. With that start under his belt, he put the “should we draft a QB” and the “who is our starting QB next season” debates to bed. Dwayne Haskins IS the Redskins present and immediate future at quarterback.

Color me optimistic that Haskins could be, at least, a serviceable starting quarterback in this league. Will he reach his ceiling? Depends on too many factors, including who is running the football operation. But I am now confident his floor is high enough to keep the Redskins out of the QB market throughout at least his rookie deal. So, like it or not, ready or not, welcome to the Dwayne Haskins Era of the Washington Redskins.

My Prediction: Haskins will outperform Daniel Jones this weekend and build on last week’s performance. He has a bad taste in his mouth from his last playing time against the Giants, and he’s the type of guy who won’t let that kind of letdown happen again. 18-29 for 278 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT.
