5. The Reality Is, beating division foes is always positive, even when it hurts your draft position.

Late-season wins in this lost season could have two negative impacts. First, they could give the Redskins’ brass a false sense of momentum and lead them to the erroneous assumption that the team is headed in the right direction and not in need of significant overhaul. Second, they could cost the team valuable positioning in the upcoming draft.

But let’s be honest. Every true Redskins fan is going to have a really tough time being disappointed if the Redskins pound the Eagles into submission on Sunday, especially if they do so on the backs of great performances by key members of next year’s team, like Haskins, McLaurin, Sims, Payne, Ioannidis and Collins.

My Prediction: With the playoffs on the line, the Eagles will come out hot, putting the Redskins in a hole for the third week in a row. The team will show some grit in a comeback, including Haskins having his most impressive day as a pro so far, but their efforts will come up short. Redskins fall 31-29. But look on the bright side. Maybe another loss to the Eagles will get the wheels of change in motion and Allen won’t last another week.

One can only hope. #HTTR
