4. The Reality Is, Callahan and O’Connell should work to get Haskins into a rhythm.

In the grand scheme of things, winning this game doesn’t matter. Developing the young defensive core matters. Developing the chemistry between Dwayne Haskins and his trio of rookie receivers matters. Finding out what type of plays Dwayne Haskins runs most effectively matters.

The Redskins should stop being concerned about protecting Dwayne Haskins or the defense by slowing the game down and running the ball on every 1st and 2nd down. They should be more concerned about developing Haskins’ feel for O’Connell’s play calls and O’Connell’s feel for Haskins’ comfort level and rhythm so that the team can move into the offseason with as much data as possible upon which to make their decisions.

My Prediction: AP, meet Green Brick Wall.
