1. Redskins must have a big game from Adrian Peterson

With Derrius Guice’s injury and subsequent placement on IR, once again, Washington will be relying on Adrian Peterson to carry the ground game for the remainder of the season. Peterson made history against Green Bay, becoming just the sixth player to pass 14,000 yards. On the day Peterson had a modest 76 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown. They will need more from him this week.

Peterson was a surprise inactive in Week 1 against the Eagles this year. But, he had the most memorable moment of the 2018 season against them, ripping off a career-best 90-yard touchdown on Monday night, so he’s had success against them before.

Currently, the Eagles’ run defense is ranked No. 3 overall in the league, giving up just under 90 yards a game. They are stout up front and held a talented Saquon Barkley to only 66 yards Monday night.

However, if Peterson can find some holes and get the ground game established and help keep the offense two-dimensional, it will help Dwayne Haskins a ton. If they are unable to run the ball again against Philly and utilize play-action off of it, they will likely drop their second in a row.
