No. 1 – Cole Holcomb reaches 100 total tackles

Oh, yeah. That’s right. We’re getting bold.

Cole Holcomb has been a pleasant surprise as a rookie this season. How pleasant? Well, he was recently lobbying for Redskins fans to help him reach the Pro Bowl this season. Holcomb’s game might not be as complete as other players whom he might encounter in Orlando. But for a rookie, he’s been very productive.

Through 13 games and 12 starts, Holcomb has 85 total tackles, six tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, and a sack. He’s displayed considerable room for improvement in coverage, but as a run stopper, he’s already developed into one of the better inside linebackers in the league, and he could be a potential long-term starter for Washington down the road.

Holcomb’s most active game of the season came in Week 12 against the Detroit Lions, when Holcomb logged 13 total tackles, one tackle for loss, two quarterback hits, and his one and only sack. This week, we’ll speak a new peak into existence; Holcomb will log 15 total tackles, and reach the century mark on the year.
